The Vortex Ranger HD 3000 10x42 is designed for outdoor users who want quality binocular viewing and accurate distance measurement in one unit. It is particularly useful for wildlife observation, guiding, farm management and scanning large areas where judging distance by eye can be difficult.
Its 10x42 configuration provides a familiar, versatile view, while the built-in laser rangefinder measures reflective objects at up to 3,000 yards, trees at up to 1,800 yards and deer-sized subjects at up to 1,500 yards. Readings can be displayed in metres or yards, with Normal, First, Last and continuous Scan modes helping isolate subjects in open or cluttered terrain.
At approximately 919g, it is heavier than a standard 10x42 binocular, but it replaces the need to carry a separate binocular and handheld rangefinder. The included GlassPak harness helps distribute that weight while keeping the unit protected and readily accessible.
